Maruti suzuki launched the Swift in India which is priced @ 4,40,401 - 8,00,000 (Ex-Delhi). 

EXTERIOR, INTERIOR DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY
The exterior design is very good. The elements like headlamps, front grill, real tail lamps, fog lamps, alloys & the sculpted bumper jell well with overall design. The interior design is also pretty good and well laid out and are easy to use but rear cabin lacks some space. The overall build quality both interior & exterior is very good. The car has dimensions of 3850/1695/1530 mm (length/width/height), wheelbase of 2430 mm, 4.8 meter turning radius, ground clearance is 170 mm and weighs 965 kgs for Petrol & 1060 kgs for diesel.

FEATURES, BUILT-IN STEREO & STORAGE SPACE
The car comes loaded with prominent features like Key-less entry with push button start, Electric folding side view mirrors with blinkers, Reverse sensors, 15 inch alloys, Cooled glove box, Leather wrapped Steering wheel with mounted audio and phone controls, Tilt steering for rake, Driver seat height adjust, Rear wiper & defogger, Automatic climate control system and ABS, EBD & Dual front Airbags along with some standard set of features.  
Instrumentation is easy to use and has dual trip meters, average speed, engine run time and also has instantaneous fuel consumption.
The audio system has features like bluetooth, USB & Aux-in and CD player. The output is from 4 speakers & tweeters and the quality is pretty good.
There are quite a few storage spaces the prominent being front bottle & cup holders on front and rear cup holders and the boot space is 204 Lts.

ENGINE POWER, PERFORMANCE & MILEAGE
Powering the car is 2 engine options,
The 1.2L 4 cylinder Petrol producing power of 83.1 Bhp @ 6200 rpm & torque of 115 NM @ 4000 rpm to a 5 speed manual gear box with the company claimed fuel economy of 20.4 Kmpl. Top speed of 155 Kmph & 0-100 in around 12.6 Sec. 
The 1.3L 4 cylinder Diesel producing power of 74 Bhp @ 4000rpm & torque of 190 NM @ 2000 rpm to a 5 speed manual gear box with the company claimed fuel economy of 25.2 Kmpl. Top speed 155 Kmph & 0-100 in around 14.8 Sec. 
The acceleration is very good in both, the diesel having quite a bit turbo lag below 2000 rpm after which the mid-range is excellent and the overall performance in all is great which has very good power in city & highway helping overtaking etc with ease and the gearbox in both works very well.The overall fuel economy is very good and having a fuel capacity of 42 Lts.

RIDE, HANDLING & BRAKING
To begin with the suspension at front is McPherson Structs & at rear is coupled Torsional Beam Axle setup and the tyres being 165/80 R14 steel or 185/65 R15 alloy wheels depending on variants. The ride quality is pretty good as to which the suspension setup is a little firm & damps pretty well making for good ride in city and very good in the highway. The handling overall is great, In city it handles pretty well dealing with road conditions and in highway does great. The steering wheel is light in city and weighs up well in highway giving very good confidence by offering good feedback also the straight line stability is great. The breaks are setup in front ventilated disk & rear drum fashion they are pretty well setup and the response from this is quite very good overall having good feel & feedback.      

VARIANTS & SHADES
There are 7 variants Lxi, Lxi (O), Vxi and Zxi of petrol & Ldi, Vdi and Zdi edition of diesel in 6 colour options the Mysterious Violet, Pearl Artic White, Fire Red, Granite Grey, Glistening Grey and Silky Silver shades.
