Hyundai launched the Xcent compact sedan in India which is priced @ 4,72,487 - 6,51,199 (Ex-Delhi).
EXTERIOR, INTERIOR DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY
The exterior design is pretty good. The elements like headlamps, front grill, real tail lamps, fog lamps, alloys & the sculpted bumper jell well with overall design. The interior design is also very good and well laid out and are easy to use. The overall build quality both interior & exterior is quite very good which is very much improved from previous car. The car has dimensions of 3995/1660/1520 mm (length/width/height), wheelbase of 2425mm, ground clearance is 165mm and weighs 1050kgs (1030kgs Automatic variant).
FEATURES, BUILT-IN STEREO & STORAGE SPACE
The car comes loaded with prominent features like Keyless entry with push button start, Electric folding side view mirrors with blinkers, Reverse sensors with ECM (Electronic Chromic Mirror) Reverse camera, 15 inch Diamond cut alloys, Rear AC vents, Cooled glove box, Leather wrapped Steering wheel with mounted audio and phone controls, Tilt streeing for rake, Driver seat height adjust, Rear wiper & defogger, FATC (Fully Automated Temperature Control) and Standard ABS on all variants & Dual front Airbags on top model along with some standard set of features. To begin with the suspension at front is McPherson Structs & at rear is coupled Torsional Beam Axle setup and the tyres being 165/65 R14 steel or alloy wheels & optional 175/60 R15 depending on variants. The ride quality is very good as to which the suspension setup is plush & damps well making for a very comfortable ride in city as well as highway. The handling overall is quite very good, In city it handles very well dealing with road conditions and in highway does pretty good. The steering wheel is light in city and weighs up well in highway giving good confidence by offering good feedback also the straight line stability is very good. The breaks are setup in front disk & rear drum fashion they are very well setup and the response from this is excellent overall having good feel & feedback.
