HONDA BRIO REVIEW

Honda launched the Brio in India which is priced @ 4,05,000 - 6,78,000 (EX DELHI). 

EXTERIOR, INTERIOR DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY
The exterior design is quite very good. The elements like headlamps, front grill, triangular real tail lamps, fog lamps, alloys & the sculpted bumper jell well with overall design. The interior design is pretty good and quite well laid out and are easy to use. The overall build quality both interior & exterior is very good. The car has dimensions of 3610/1680/1500 mm (length/width/height), wheelbase of 2345mm, ground clearance is 165mm and weighs 925kgs (970kgs Automatic variant).

FEATURES, BUILT-IN STEREO & STORAGE SPACE
The car comes loaded with prominent features like Electrically adjustable side view mirrors, Reverse sensors, 14 inch alloys, Steering wheel with mounted audio controls, Tilt streeing for rake, Driver seat height adjust, Rear wiper & defogger and ABS with EBD & Dual front Airbags along with some standard set of features.  
Instrumentation is easy to use and has dual trip meters, average speed, engine run time but also has fuel consumption display.
The audio system has a prominent feature like 15.7cm (6.3 inch) AVN (Audio Visual Satellite Navigation) Touchscreen system along with bluetooth, USB & Aux-in, I-Pod and CD/DVD player. The output is from 4 speakers & tweeters and the quality is quite very good.
There are many storage spaces the prominent being small bottle holder on all doors and the boot space is 175 Lts. 

ENGINE POWER, PERFORMANCE & MILEAGE
Powering the car is one engine option with 2 variants
The 1.2L 4 cylinder Petrol producing power of 88 Bhp@6000rpm & torque of 109 NM@4500rpm to a 5 speed manual gear box with the company claimed fuel economy of 19.4 Kmpl. Top speed of 185 Kmph & 0-100 in around 12.5 Sec. 
The 1.2L 4 cylinder Petrol producing power of 88 Bhp@6000rpm & torque of 109 NM@4500rpm to a 5 speed automatic gear box with the company claimed fuel economy of 16.5 Kmpl. Top speed 185 Kmph & 0-100 in around 12.5 Sec.  
The acceleration is very good in all and the overall performance in all is great which has very good power in city as well as highway helping overtaking etc with ease and the gearbox in all works very well, the one in petrol automatic does quite very good having pretty good gear shifts.The overall fuel economy is very good and having a fuel capacity of 35 Lts.

RIDE, HANDLING & BRAKING
To begin with the suspension at front is McPherson Structs & at rear is coupled Torsional Beam Axle setup and the tyres being 175/65 R14 steel or alloy wheels depending on variants. The ride quality is quite very good as to which the suspension setup is plush & damps well making for a pretty much comfortable ride in city as well as highway. The handling overall is very good, In city it handles prety well dealing with road conditions and in highway does very good as well. The steering wheel is light in city and weighs up well in highway giving good confidence by offering pretty good feedback also the straight line stability is very good. The breaks are setup in front disk & rear drum fashion they are very well setup and the response from this is very good overall having good feel & feedback.      

VARIANTS & SHADES
There are 6 variants E, EX, S, V, VX (MT/AT) and VX BL (MT/AT) in petrol only in 6 colour options the Crystal Black Pearl, Taffeta White, Rallye Red, Urban Titanium, Energetic Blue and Alabaster Silver shades.
