Maruti launched the new alto K10 in India which is priced @ 3,25,000 - 4,00,000 (EX DELHI). It is available is Sunlight Copper, Midnight Black, Fire Brick Red, Superior White, Ecru Beige and Silky Silver shades.
1 EXTERIOR DESIGN & INTERIOR COMFORT
The exterior design is pretty good. The car now looks much balanced and it’s relatively longer than its other competitors. The new front of this car makes it look more appealing than before. New Alto now has more angular and curvy headlamps which gel well with much wider grille sporting Suzuki logo in its center. There is a chrome plate at the top of the grille. Front bumper has also been revised for this new car. It has a body colored bumper featuring new set of round fog lights with big three layered air dam. The car looks much more aerodynamic than before. The rear gets a new boot gate & tail lamps and the rear bumper is much wider and has sharp lines over it.
The new Alto k10 features 3 spoke power assisted steering wheel similar to that of A-star. There is new instrument cluster also with a tachometer which is very easy to read and the overall appearance looks much premium. It also has digital fuel gauge and dual trip meter. Headroom and shoulder room is just enough for the driver and front passenger. Rear passengers still don’t have that much of knee room. Driver seat is manually adjustable. Front power windows is a welcome feature in new Alto k10 with internally adjustable outside mirrors and also has a powerful AC.

2 ENGINE & GEAR BOX
Engine is a 998cc 3 cylinder motor which delivers the horse power of 67 bhp @ 6200 rpm and torque of 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm and this car weighs 765kgs. This is a 4 valve engine is coupled with a 5 speed manual gear box with pretty good gear ratios. The engine is zippy and there is no turbo lag. It performs well even with AC powered on but there is still a bit room left when it comes to refinement after 3500.
3 ACCLERATION & POWER N PERFORMANCE
The acceleration of this car is very good due to less weight and more power. The initial pick up is great and the gear ratios is also very good which adds to its performance. Acceleration and top speed of this car is give below.

4 FUEL CAPACITY & MILEAGE

5 STORAGE & SAFETY FEATURES
It has a boot storage space of 177 lts with a small rare parcel tray. There is no ABS & air bag offered here but has immobilizer icats, headlamp leveling device and collapse steering column which adds to its safety.
6 SUSPENSION & BRAKING
There is a good braking system equipped here which features a front disk brakes and a rear drum brakes. The suspension is of good quality with gas filled shock absorbers and at high speeds the rear suspension feels a bit good.
7 RIDING COMFORT & HANDLING QUALITY
The car is designed for pretty good handling and having a ground clearance of 160mm makes sure that it passes even the worst potholes present on Indian roads. The city driving and cornering of roads is very good thanks to its very light and smooth power steering but tends to slightly try's to loose control in highway conditions and highway cornering could have been better The wheelbase of 2360 adds to its stability but where as due to its low seating position of this car is unsatisfactory at certain conditions as the potholes n speed breakers hurt a little.
